that mysterious black girl

Genevieve Jones is that mysterious black girl hitting up New York's social scene real hard. Her history and grace may be unknown, but her presence and persona is the talk of the town. In the past few years this fabulous waif-like figure has been showing up at some of the most exclusive high-brow parties and dinners. After being photographed dancing with Vogue's Andre Leon Talley she started getting some of the most desired invites in Manhattan.

A cut-throat scene obsessed with money and historic last names, it's not everyday an everyday normal folk girl slides so gracefully in; Jones' parents are just Louisiana normal folk carrying middle class jobs. This Baton Rouge native has graced the pages of Vogue, PageSix and fashion columns galore. Her impeccable coat hanger-esque frame, along with her high fashion taste and endearing smile make her that mysterious black girl who is now climbing quickly up the New York social ladder. Princesses Tinsley, Olivia and Lydia better watch their backs... once you go black, you never go back.
